The second semester of Macroeconomics will cover topics on economic fluctuations: static and dynamic model, aggregate demand and IS-LM model, open economy, aggregate supply, inflation and unemployment, stabilization policy, government debt and budget, financial system, and macroeconomics in Taiwan’s context. This course will build on students’ learning and good grasp of the first-semester course. Throughout the semester, it will also cover relevant and interesting topics on international finance management and applied international trade analysis. Besides lecture, we expect discussions and engagement one to two weeks every month, accompanied pre-lecture assigned readings.
